The National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum
120" Mill Motor House
The 120” Motor House housed the electrical generators to provide the power needed to run all of the equipment in Lukens Steel Company’s 120” rolling mill. The plates rolled on that mill were manufactured into our nation’s battleships, aircraft carriers, submarines, tanks, bridges, buildings, and more.

Production in these buildings halted in the 1983, and in 2016 ArcelorMittal donated both the Motor House and the 120" Mill Building to the Museum.

The Motor House currently houses the NISHM Emergency Vehicle collection and equipment from both the G.O. Carlson and Lukens metallurgical laboratory collections.
