206" Mill Today
In the 1960s, a foreign steel company surpassed Lukens Steel Company and put into operation a wider rolling mill, the newly-acclaimed largest in the world.  The 206” mill, however, remained the widest in the United States.

Fifty years later, and one hundred years after it was constructed, the 206” Rolling Mill continues to roll plate at the ArcelorMittal Coatesville steel site, and remains our nation’s widest mill.  It rolls the large majority of armor plate for the U.S. Navy.
