Women In The Workforce
After World War II, women in steel returned to administrative positions. By the 1970s, women were once again hired in the steel division as bricklayers, crane operators, and more. They continue to work in those positions today, but remain a minority. Women make up 20% of the salaried positions and just 10% of the hourly ( steel division) workers, but the number of women in the steel industry continues to grow.
