USS Enterprise (CVN-65/CVA(N)-65)
When completed in 1961, Enterprise was the largest ship in the world. Additionally, it was only the second nuclear-powered warship, a record that still stands. Eight reactors gave it a range of 400,000 miles at 20 knots. She served for 51 consecutive years until her retirement in 2013, longer than any other U.S. aircraft carrier. She was decommissioned in 2012 and as of 2015 has undergone enough of the deactivation process to render the ship unfit for service.
